Why a study search?
The choice of the right course of study strongly determines whether a person will be able to function with pleasure and success in a future work environment and be financially independent. It is therefore important that the choice of study is tailored as much as possible to interests, abilities, personal characteristics and (expected) developments in the labor market.
What does a study search look like?
An intake form is sent after registration. This contains questions regarding the person to be tested. These include relevant information about the home situation, school (behavior), leisure activities, social contacts, any limiting circumstances (e.g. dyslexia and concentration problems), et cetera.
The examination begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at approximately 4 :15 p.m.with a final interview. During the testing day, several ability tests are administered, which provide insight into the level and structure of various intelligence factors. In addition, interest and personality questionnaires are offered, which provide a picture of a wide range of characteristics, and several interviews with a psychologist take place.
Hybrid research
Instead of the on-site testing day, a hybrid format can be chosen. Digitally, there will be an introductory interview, after which the tests will be taken independently at home. Prior to the counseling interview, a number of tests can be taken on location by mutual agreement.
Based on the examination results, a recommendation on the choice of study is made immediately at the end of the test day. At this meeting with the attending psychologist, one or both parent(s) will be present.
Hybrid research
The consultation will be scheduled at an agreed upon date and time and will take place on location.
Within two weeks of the completion of the study, the written report will take place. The report includes, among other things, the results of the intelligence, personality and interest tests, which together formed part of the study choice examination and, of course, all the advice, which was explained in the follow-up discussion.
